Le Groët de Marie

The restaurant is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 12 to 2.30 pm and from 7 to 10 pm. Booking is advisable!

As soon as you arrive, the branches of hops decking the ceiling and the menu in the form of a spell book tell you that this is no ordinary restaurant. Inspired by the legend of Marie Grouette who used to capture children who dared come too close to the waters of the marshes, Angélique and Sébastien have sought to re-create an olde worlde atmosphere.

Sébastien, a master chef, uses all his creativity and inspiration to devise dishes that are all prepared on the premises using local produce. Try his delicious gratin of Tilques carrots with Maroilles cheese, or a tasty cassolette of charcuterie with Bergues cheese or his amazing savoury rabbit crumble with gingerbread, all washed down with one of the twenty-odd beers on offer, including a local brew called la Bracine. For those who prefer wine, there are some fine bottles on the wine list.
